Captain Tom Moore’s 100th Birthday Walk for the NHS
Oh my… Captain Tom has truly made me smile this week! What a gentleman, a true inspiration and a real hero. It started with a goal of £1000, soon exceeded £500,000 and now has reached £13,343,475.80 and raising more by the minute.
It was so lovely to see him on the TV this morning, in his suit with his medals on, talking about how the money raised is going to help the NHS. It was great to hear that most of the money will be used to help the ‘mental health’ impact of Covid-19. He certainly is a man that I would want my boys to look up to, and I will be sharing his amazing story with them today.
We had a post in our Mum to Mum Milton Keynes Facebook group yesterday about sending Captain Tom a Birthday card to celebrate his special day. The WW2 veteran will be celebrating his 100th birthday on 30th April and lots of people from all over the world are going to send him a card to celebrate after his big birthday bash was canceled.
